LIGHTING UPGRADE
Approx 4.2 km of underground installation + manufacture of 75+ light posts
In 2016 and 2017 S. & K. Ware Electrical Contracting was engaged to design and construct approximately 4.2 km of roadway lighting for a local International Events facility. Construction consisted of the manufacture of an additional 50+ rag bolt footings & over 75+ lighting posts/towers, ranging from 4m to 8m, at our workshop by our qualified boilermaker, whilst works onsite saw the installation of >4 km of underground cabling, with a lighting point located every 25 m, totalling over 150! Highly energy efficient LED floodlighting, ranging from 18W to 200W, were fitted to each post depending on location requirements and each section of roadway lighting was controlled from various central locations via timers.
SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE
Completed on time; Under budget.
2017 saw S. & K. Ware Electrical Contracting engaged to design and construct Stage 1 of a complete upgrade of the electrical installation and automated control system of a sewage treatment plant situated at Peak Crossing Qld. The low voltage electrical distribution panel was pre built in our workshop to minimise the changeover downtime. The complete system was removed and replaced in 7 days. Working alongside the plant operator and our Sydney based programmer, a fully Web based control program was installed allowing complete control of the plant from anywhere with ethernet access. Stages 2-4, commencing in 2018, will see the upgrade of pumps, float switches and flow meters within the plant and the incorporation of the site irrigation system into the control program.
